Whole Genome Sequencing

Use genetic insight to make your care more personal.

Your genetic information can offer another perspective on your health. Whole genome sequencing examines your DNA broadly and may reveal findings that help inform disease-risk assessment, medication decisions, and future care.

At HONOUR, we focus on how clinically meaningful results relate to you: your history, your family, your current treatment, and your health priorities.

How findings may inform your care

  • Medication response: When validated pharmacogenomic analysis is included, certain findings may help guide the choice or dose of specific medications.

  • Inherited disease risk: Some findings may identify an increased risk for certain inherited conditions and prompt more focused evaluation.

  • Screening and prevention: Actionable results may support changes to screening or monitoring, or a referral to a genetics specialist.

  • Family health: Relevant findings may raise questions about whether relatives could benefit from genetic counseling or testing.

Understanding what the results mean

Before testing, we discuss what the laboratory reports, possible unexpected findings, privacy considerations, and the limits of what can be learned. We then review your results together, separating clinically useful information from findings that remain uncertain.

Not every genetic finding changes care, and some require confirmatory testing. Sequencing does not predict every illness or medication response, and pharmacogenomic reporting is not automatically included in every whole genome test.

The aim is to use reliable, relevant information to guide more individualized medical decisions.
